Getting Ready For The Parade Part III

The photos from the last post were in a large warehouse.  Here is a "self-decorated" float from the City Of South Pasadena.


This is the artist's rendering.

And here is the actual float!  They still have about a day's worth of work to do.

It is being built in a tent behind the War Memorial Building off of Fair Oaks. 


Here are those tube things I was trying to explain in the last post.  You fill the green tubes with a mix of half water, half Seven Up.  It keeps the flower alive longer, I guess.  And then you stick one flower into each tube. It is messy, sticky work and I did it for about four hours.  My fingers got all shrivelled up and it was cold that year...
